Where Bee the Honey for the Bear
The third edition of Honey Hunter Bear is now finished. As shown, it stands 9″ tall and is carved from solid black walnut. The blaze of cream color running the length of the tree trunk, and encompassing the left foreleg and paw, is natural to walnut where sapwood is present.
This black bear is part of my series of black bears. All of them in this series are size proportionate to each other. Others in this series include two different sitting positions. One standing on all four legs. And one laying down on his side. Five in all. The Honey Hunter shown here needs no explanation beyond the title. This is the only variation available currently, in this series. However, all five iterations of the series are still available as they are completed in the future. So an entire set is still obtainable.
It has been impossible for me to have all five variations complete at the same time. Just about the time I finish up the fourth of the five, one of the others will invariability sell to prevent them having their picture taken together.
