Owl of Minuscule Import
“And Moonglow Is his Name-O”.
OK, you might need to be nearly as old as me, to know the song that phrase references. And really the only tie-in of the phrase, to my owl, would be,…or could be… “cute”. As I mentioned earlier in an earlier post, the point of this effort, this sculpture, was to do small. A small point, because it is a small owl…. yes?, no…. more like small for smalls sake.
So perhaps I should leave this small point before I loose you. Then…..well…. that has probably already happened I’m guessing. And I digress. No, not now. Earlier….I haven’t digressed here because I have left no place to digress to since I had already digressed to the fullest extent of the meaning of the word. That happened, in case you didn’t notice, when I used the “small point” at the beginning of this writing. So here I am full circle back to small. Are you still with me? I think not. I could reckon you were gone by now, and stop writing, and no one would know I because they are not reading anymore.
Or I the other hand I could continue on, here, writing to myself for my own amusement. But that would be ridiculous, since there would be no reason for me to be actually be typing the words or thoughts, since I could derive the same pleasure just by just thinking them. No, the only reason to continue to write my thoughts down would be for posterity….. or of course, for those of you who are STILL lingering, and reading this, clinging to the possibility that something here would soon make some sense. Sorry, NOT gonna happen. Sorry to disappoint. Truth is, I really just needed some text to go with my post of my finished owl. Since I really can’t think of much else to say about him except THERE HE IS! , and maybe then accompanied by some incredible fireworks (impossible though thought provoking).
But before you go off in a huff. Your time has not been lost for nothing…. Remember. you got to see Moonglow didn’t ya? Hey, what a thrill that was right?
