Finally back home for some studio time. It’s nice to get cozy with my wood stove again and move indoors for one on one with my carving. This is a very peaceful time of the year when the last of the road running to art shows has lessened. This means I can once again get some serious time into the part of my profession that means the most — “hands on creating in wood”.
Wildlife Charm
Springtime is all about abstract, But Fall is a welcome revisit to realistic styling’s. Wildlife is a favorite subject and seems to please more viewers than any other subject area. Typical of work falling into this category is this raccoon. I actually started this last month, but only now was I finally able to return to finish it yesterday. The finished photo’s have yet to be taken. But I believe the finished shots will be of greater interest after seeing the fellow in process, as shown. When this shot was taken I was only about two hours into the making of him.
Hi Jerry! Where can I find your schedule of your on the road shows?
